Wishcast Wednesday - Burden

Today Jamie asks us "What burden do you wish to put down?"

I honestly don't know how to answer it. Perhaps not take the blame or allow myself to be blamed for other peoples screw ups? Perhaps stop worrying about things I cannot change? Perhaps to stop blaming myself for things that are beyond my control?

Alas if it were only that simple to lay the burden(s) down and let them go.

  1. Sometimes the burden is ours to carry and sometimes it's not. I think sometimes it is as simple as deciding to put them aside and live the best life you can. As you wish for yourself, so do I wish for you as well.

  2. "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." I can't begin to tell you how many times I have said that prayer in my life. Perhaps you are coming to the time when you have to make a decision one way or another. You have been eating yourself up over this for far too long.

  3. Thank you Mary...you don't know how many times that prayer has come to my mind lately. If only the taking action part was a little bit easier.
